Whether you are taking in the view from the front deck, or relaxing in an adirondack chair with a good book; every aspect of the cottage is close to nature and provides a unique opportunity to enjoy what the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia has to offer while still only minutes to amenities. You can watch a tremendous array of wildlife, including resident swans nesting on the lagoon shore, river otters eating their crab dinner on the dock, cormorants drying their wings while perched on a log in the Lagoon, freighters passing in the distance, and most years we have a sighting or two of whales in the distance off the point.
The peaceful and serene lagoon is a designated bird sanctuary which is host to a vast variety of bird species including eagles, blue herons, king fishers, with seasonal visits from osprey, bufflehead ducks and so many more. Just a few minute walk down a treed road you will find 6 km of walking beach, with views of the city skyline, framed by Mount Baker.
